Stress Distribution of Periodontal Ligament in Mandibular Second Molar with Different Distal Alveolar Bone Losses

چکیده
To explore the effect of occlusal adjustment in mandibular second molar with different distal alveolar bone losses on stress distribution periodontal ligament, a left was modelled using finite element analysis based X-ray CBCT scanned images and effects. The equivalent ligament analyzed to study biomechanical properties molars areas losses. Results demonstrate that tissue plays an important role supporting teeth, residual is suggested be retained as much possible clinical treatment.

Mandibular Second Molar Periodontal Parameters after Surgical Extraction of Adjacent Impacted Third Molar
Introdouction: Impacted mandibular third molar surgery may affect periodontal status of the adjacent second molar. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes in periodontal health parameters distal to the adjacent second molar following surgical extraction of an impacted mandibular third molar. Materials and methods: We selected 50 subjects with a mean age of 22.8 (ranging from 18...

Background: Extraction of impacted third molar violates surrounding soft and bony tissues. Various surgical approaches and surgical technics have an important impact on the periodontal health of the adjacent second molar. Purpose: The aim of this review is to analyse the causes that can affect postoperative periodontal outcomes for the mandibular second molars (LM2) adjacent to the impacted/ se...

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the change in the periodontal status of mandibular second molars after surgical extraction of adjacent impacted lower third molars. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was based on a 1-year follow-up of 48 patients (20 men and 28 women) recruited consecutively after the extraction of an impacted lower third molar. Panoramic radiographs were obtained a...
متن کاملInclusion of periodontal ligament fibres in mandibular finite element models leads to an increase in alveolar bone strains
Alveolar bone remodelling is vital for the success of dental implants and orthodontic treatments. However, the underlying biomechanical mechanisms, in particular the function of the periodontal ligament (PDL) in bone loading and remodelling, are not well understood. The PDL is a soft fibrous connective tissue that joins the tooth root to the alveolar bone and plays a critical role in the transm...
